Public lecture of Sripad Bhakti Sudhir Goswami Maharaj
in the University of Debrecen, Hungary

By the mercy of Srila Gurudeva the Hungarian devotees had the chance to serve Sripad Bhakti Sudhir Goswami Maharaj from 7th to 13th December, 2010. During the visit Goswami Maharaj mostly stayed in the central Hungarian Ashram in Budapest, but he also kindly visited Debrecen, the second biggest city in Hungary with many enthusiastic devotees. He was staying there in the family house of Jayadev Prabhu and Jayasri Devi Dasi where the Debrecen programs are taking place. Local devotees organized a public lecture at the University of Debrecen that is not only one of the best universities in the country but also has international reputation.

The beautiful invitation was designed by Aditi Devi Dasi. More than 80 posters were printed and billed in the city by the organization of Anu Krishna Devi Dasi, Isa Shakti Devi Dasi and Yadunandini Devi Dasi. Also email invitations were sent out to local spiritual and yoga centers.
The lecture took place in the impressive main building of the University of Debrecen. This institution has 32,000 students offering the widest choice of majors in the country.

Sríla B.S. Goswami Maharaj enjoyed the beautiful interior on the way upstairs to the biggest hall where the lecture took place.
A large audience accepted the invitation, around 180 excited guests were waiting for the lecture. Anu Krishna Devi Dasi broadcasted it live on BlogTV.

Jayadev Das introduced everyone on the stage. He translated the lecture to Hungarian.
Aninda Sundar Prabhu, the leader of the Hungarian branch of SCS Math, gave a short introduction bringing the topic close to the local audience.

Sríla B.S. Goswami Maharaj started with some auspicious Mantras capturing the heart of participants immediately.
Of course devotees took the first row: Aruna Prabhu, Madhubala Devi Dasi and Sudhamayi Devi Dasi paying undivided attention.

Sríla B.S. Goswami Maharaj pointed on the positive aspects of existence: the subjective evolution of conciousness should be the focus of our lives.
Krishna Balavi Devi Dasi and Gaurachand Prabhu was happily riding the spiritual waves emanating from our precious guest.

Grab this opportunity and seek for the centre source of absolute beauty and harmony. How to measure the level of a theistic philosophy: look for the degree of intimacy it offers you with God.
Audience has been charmed by the friendly yet essential style of the Maharaj. Here Ananda Rupa Devi Dasi (in the middle) and Isa Krisna Prabhu are digesting the divine words.

Many participants approached the Maharaj after the lecture to ask for some personal spiritual guidance.
"...and how is it possible that Arjuna decided to kill people in the war but it's not bad karma for him?"

We also had guests from Transylvania (Romania) who also used the opportunity to ask from Aninda Sundar Prabhu.
